Oh dear. ‘Too many cars’, isn’t that your mantra. Yet you insist you don’t think cars should be banned. You don’t offer a solution that’s fair or practical, just whine about drivers. You either accept that in a free democratic society everyone has the right to do as they please within the law, and that includes owning and driving motor vehicles. Just because you don’t doesn’t make everyone else wrong. Your idea that cycling is the answer is nonsense, and you know deep down that’s true. It simply doesn’t work, even the LCC acknowledges many roads in Ealing aren’t suited to segregation of bikes and vehicles. You are an extremist by dint of your LCC membership. It’s published aims are to eradicate private car ownership in London. If you disagree with that then why are you still a member? And why is asking if you stop people coming to your house by car ‘ridiculous’? If you encourage your friends and family to drive then you are adding to the very problem you insist is such an existential threat. Come on Paul, you have to admit that’s true. |
