Usual claptrap from Paul James. Only to be expected from a halfwit. London is grinding to a halt because so many obstacles are being put into the road network. Car ownership has been falling for years, as TfL knows from it’s own data. What has increased is the number of delivery journeys and private hire vehicles cruising the streets all day. Again TfL know this. The LYBs weren’t a carrot for anyone who had to live in one. They were unpopular for a number of reasons, hence the thousands of people protesting against them. What Paul and his idiot LCC chums don’t get is that cycling isn’t very popular. Otherwise everyone would do it (and the safety argument is bullshit). Unfortunately Paul has his head so far up his rear end he can’t see or hear anything that doesn’t tally with what he experiences there. |
