| They can’t do site visits any longer due to Covid but I’m not sure that would make much difference. Decisions seem to be made according to what’s in the council’s interest, and the party line is all to often toed. The only recent decision to turn down an application for a tower block was the one at Manor Road, but only after a concerted campaign by residents. I live in South Ealing. I’ve no real knowledge of Southall or Northolt and rarely, if ever visit those places. If I was on the council, and on a committee, I doubt my knowledge would be any better. For any kind of sensible decision to be made, on any matter, it has to be based on what suits an area and the people living there. |
