| You are entitled to your personal views. I would say it is worth looking at which countries did what and when. You will find very little difference in, for example, the timescale on which western nations went into lockdown. Some before the UK by mostly 2-3 days, a few 7 days earlier and several after the UK. The media has gone into blame mode and would have you believe both our approach and timing was somehow an outlier when it was not. The interesting place to learn is Germany - if the numbers are correct, they somehow kept the infection rate and death rate much lower then all others. Testing does not prevent spreading, so am curious at the preventative measures they took that others didn’t. |
