It is interesting how Trump's supporters have been so successful with the trope that the 'mainstream media' and the 'liberal elite' misrepresent what he has said that we have got to the point that they can successfully deny he said what he is on the record as saying. Rosco seems to have fallen into the trap of defending Trump from accusations that he told people to drink bleach which is the line taken by the MAGA hat wearing brigade. He didn't do this but they shouldn't be allowed to create a fog of confusion on this matter. The video is there, we have all seen it, the rebuttal Rosco is attempting to make of Andy's point actually confirms it what he said was accurate. If we start talking about semantics we are missing the glaringly obvious piece of information that the video of Trump on this issue is giving us. |
