| Three months has now gone by and apparently the Cabinet Member resposible for Law and Order has chosen not to respond. Crime is consistently shown to be Ealing residents' number one concern. For many years now drug dealing in the centre of West Ealing has been a regular, blatant daytime actvity. Many local residents have complained about it to the Police and whatever the Police has tried to do to eliminate these activities it has been unsuccessful. Maybe in Cameron's 'Big Society' volunteers will have to step in and solve these problems themselves. However before we reach this stage a public meeting is to be held on Monday 11th July at 7:30pm at St John's Church in Mattock Lane to discuss this issue. The Police and local Councillors will be invited to the meeting. The meeting is being organised by West Ealing Neighbours. Everyone is invited to attend this meeting. |
