Still, if you're not sure, just don't drive past the signs, there's always another way around. If you're visiting a property or business in the zone you can easily find out if it's operating. >Better still, physical barriers put out by volunteer parents would remove any doubt - but also any income for the Council! The barriers would have to be staffed, by two people at each entrance and exit to the zone, twice a day, most days of the year. Also, some people get angry and abusive if asked not to drive past the sign, so you'd want police there too, it would be a massive undertaking. |
