| Getting back to the subject, I see the three new school streets described in the recent article apply for different time periods, which isn't particularly helpful. I assume it's because of different requests from each school, but it does mean we all have to skim-read the words and numbers on each sign as we approach, trying to work out what to do. And they only apply during term times, which we have no reason for knowing! It would be a lot easier if all school signs had standard timings, such as 8.00 to 9.00 and 15.00 to 16.00 and then we'd quickly get the hang of what's expected. Better still, physical barriers put out by volunteer parents would remove any doubt - but also any income for the Council! |
