| Churchill Insurance did some research on the number of kids being involved in collisions outside schools. Using figures from ROSPA (the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents) they found that 1,200 schoolchildren are injured every month by a motor vehicle within 500m of a school. Even though that is a huge number the number of causalities is steadily falling. Do school streets make a difference? You bet they do. |
