The golf course was publicly accessible, or didn’t you ever oust it? You see obsessed with polo. Are you a secret toff masquerading as a champagne socialist? Nobody is getting in a lather other than you it seems. This was a municipal course, owned by the council. There’s been a big push to get people more active, if you hadn’t noticed. That means other things than cycling. Of course the council could advertise the fact that there was an affordable and accessible course that people could try out. Although you seem so dim you think everyone should join a club and pay membership fees. The other point to bear in mind is that people generally get inspired to try out a sport when they see someone doing well on tv. It happens with tennis and athletics, with younger people particularly keen to try these things. |
