I fully support well thought out measures to reduce carbon emissions, I myself now drive an electric car, the LTNs were a poorly thought out way of trying to force people to stop using cars without any viable alternative, also they spilt communities in half and created more pollution on major roads, and by schools that happened to be close to these roads, also it is not ups to a local council to reduce car usage, that has to come from central government, the plans to stop selling ICE cars by 2030 is fine, but the infrastructure needed is not there yet, the production of electric cars needs to be improved to also keep the carbon footprint down, where the local council should act is to make sure that every road has charging points, give incentives to push the usage of electric cars up, maybe reduced controlled parking costs, or zero cost like some boroughs, the political part or my post are surround how badly run Ealing is, the over development, which will increase pollution, the corrupt way they work, the distain for the residents, a major reduction in Carbon emissions will come from central government action, more sustainable energy, the soundbites from local councillors are just that soundbites, |
