So far this week I have been with Chinese friends, made a few more, been wined and dined in style by several Pakistanis, been voluntarily visited by Indian, Dutch, and German friends, with an Iraqi currently on his way. Had conversations with Syrian and South African, had black tradesperson here today who thanked me for my hospitality, and a few more I can't recall to mind at present. Am invited to dinner next Sunday evening by Chinese friends. The South African btw was able to confirm what we have read re 3500 white farmers in SOUTH AFRICA, ie not Zimbabwe, being murdered but kept quiet both there and elsewhere. When I asked why he said the situation there is so fragile and recognised as such around the world that any news of it would cause such ructions and cause mayhem and racial tension, leading to goodness knows what.
