Yesterday, Thursday, I was on an eastbound route 427 bus crossing the Lido junction at around 16:30. Two lines of traffic had formed on the westbound side. 10 metres beyonfd the junction (eastbound) was a badly parked Chevrolet Matiz. Bus could not pass. Bus driver hoots. Car moves off then waits to turn right into Chapel Road still blocking the path of the bus. Westbound traffic can only move slowly because of jam at Lido Junction. When the road cleared we went nearly non-stop to Ealing Broadway. I was surprised that the police hadn't come out wondering why there was no eastbound traffic. Was there a traffic warden to witness all this? Of course not, when needed they have the presence of Lord Lucan! |
