| "Murder strip" is used to refer to a narrow cycle lane, normally marked in a dooring zone, so people on bikes are damned if they do ride in the lane and risk getting doored, and damned if they don't ride in the lane and risk close punishment passed by people in cars who think they should be in the lane. It's an apt phrase. |
