But are the images of foetuses correct representations of a developing human? If so, then banning them means censoring the truth, even though it is distressing. Comfortable with banning something that is factually correct? Harassment is a criminal offense under the Protection from Harassment Act 1997. This would also cover intimidatory behaviour. There is also legislation dealing with stalking, obstructing the public highway and using threatening, abusive or insulting words and behaviour. From looking at the evidence compiled by Sister Supporter, the group protesting the anti abortion group, there is no claim that any existing law has been broken or even that anyone has been reported to the police for breaking any such law. We have plenty of laws to dealing with protestors who overstep the mark. |
