"but I imagine Alan loves it - because of all the Pound shops!!" Your expedition's list could have been done in Greenford, EB, and with a little more trouble in West Ealing (PO is in Ealing Dean). I would agree that if you are local to PL then it's good. You didn't say how you got there. In fact PL is my nearest shopping street on foot but the last I would consider going to. Regarding £shops; I they have the product I want then why pay more? For instance, and definitely not a frequent purchase - wire strippers (a tool for removing insulation from wire) - £shop £1, specialist tool vendor £4.95, for the identical tool other than packaging. Am I missing something? I think not? While on the subject of cost - lavatory paper. What benefit would I get from changing from Sainsbury/Tesco paper @ £1.30ish for twelve rolls to a more expensive product? |
