| While we are better provided for with buses than 30 years ago we still need some more. Especially as more people live here and the cost of petrol continues to rise.Especially as the population average age is getting higher. Some backstreets are no go areas, but a hail and ride mini bus may work in the less tight streets. The thing is to experiment and see what works and what does not. Where there is a will there is a way.We don't necessarily need mini buses every day so they could roam on a two daily basis to identify demand over a wider area. I fully agree with stop and shop and I don't know why Pitshanger now has less bays. This is a vital and pleasurable shopping parade and probably has a wide catchment area. |
