Some properties are deemed unsuitable for wheelies. Unfortunately there are small houses with tiny gardens which were just issued with enormous bins that touch the windows. I can't fight everyone else's battles. Many more of these should have been offered smaller bins. Anybody who does not already have a kerbside collection should be getting together with their neighbours and asking their Councils and their Councillors to see if one can be arranged. Just sharing information as well as sharing trips to the charity shops (when open) and street banks and the HWRC or sharing a bulky waste collection can make getting rid of any excess recycling and waste easier. Our Waste Disposal Authority has lots of info on how to dispose of things that are not collected kerbside: https://westlondonwaste.gov.uk/ https://www.ealing.gov.uk/info/201167/rubbish_and_recycling/2014/order_a_recycling_container |
