Ealing Council's own surveys show that most of the electorate don't even know who the leader so a tiny proportion will share your forensic interest in his religious beliefs. You are right however that the Lib Dems will be presenting clarity compared to Labour's obfuscation. The personal views of the MP will help shore up her vote to an extent but a large proportion of voters will only be dimly aware of the stance she has taken. On the last point, I think you have got this the wrong way round. In the previous election Labour were unelectable which encouraged a lot of people like me to think there was no risk that having a Labour MP would mean a Labour government. This time out there is strong possibility of a Labour led coalition government which, much as I like Rupa Huq, may mean she doesn't get my vote. |
