Thank you Rosco. It doesn't appear on the front page yet but on social media this site has published an interesting analysis of the implications for Ealing Central and Acton. It shows that the original poster was spot on when he said this might not be a safe Labour seat There are so many variables here the outcome is difficult to predict but Labour faces a challenge on two fronts. Firstly The Lib Dems are clearly going to take a big slice of their vote and secondly the Tories are only losing votes to the Brexit Party — any sort of pact between the two could be fatal for Labour. This would have the effect of delivering a constituency that vote for close to 70% 'remain' parties to a party that is happy to advocate no deal. This probably isn't the only constituency in which this will happen which is probably why Boris is so keen to get on with a General Election. |
