On the subject of trigger ballots again there have been reports that Rupa Huq may face a challenge shortly. This isn't necessarily a sign that she will get the chop. It seems very unlikely that local branches would vote against her. Ruth Cadbury was endorsed in Brentford and Isleworth by a massive majority. Virendra Sharma on the other hand looks a bit vulnerable. Two branches voted against him and although he did manage to get these votes annulled on the grounds of irregularities, the party reinstated them. Not sure of the latest situation there. |
