As it was a decision taken at full council, you will not be able to identify the individual councillors that voted for this. However, normally the administration in charge will vote in block and the opposition will in most cases, and especially where a vulnerable group may be affected by the decision, vote against it. Therefore I wouldn't be surprised if all labour councillors voted for this policy to go through and Conservtives with Lib Dem voting against it. The only way to find out their names is to look at the minutes of that Council meeting to see who was in attendance and identify who belongs to which group. I am not sure if this can be of help but the cabinet member responsible for Transport and Environment is Cllr Bassam Mahfouz. Perhaps you should send whatever records you have directly to him and I wish you good luck. As for Councillors' expenses, forget it. They are not MPs -they do not have a salary, although they have an allowance, and they cannot claim for CPZs passes/permits or parking tickets, even if they need to go and see one of their constituents for their case work. If they themselves live in a CPZ then they will have to pay for it. If the constituent lives in a CPZ then he/she will most probably provides a visitor's permit if the visit takes place during the CPZ hours of operation. If they have to pay for parking, then this is what their allowance is there for. |
