| I havn`t seen a road as you describe Gillian in the wider area so would second Eric in advising you to speak to the council officer as it sounds as if the correct sequence hasn`t been followed. If the holes aren`t surrounded by the plastic barriers it needs prompt action! The logistics are difficult with refurbishment particularly as the old stock of cast iron lampposts varied in size, more than generally realised, and there is a matching process at the foundry/workshop to ensure a road receives matching posts. Maggie I agree that the paving has been patchy but where its plainly in a dreadful state you should raise this together with locations to the same council officer who is likely to order the work to be done properly and it may even require one of the contractor`s teams entire work to be checked/redone in order to meet the councils standard. |
