| Thanks for all your replies. I spoke to a very helpful chap at the Street Lighting dept who explained the ins and outs and about the protective shields. He'd even taken the time to go round to my house and check out the proposed siting of the lampost. I'm happier about the situation, but obviously until it's actually up and working, won't be able to see the final effect. Green Ave is certainly very effective from the pedestrian's point of view - my problem is not having a garden as a buffer zone. |
