| Maggie, Green Avenue was the first road trialled with the higher refurbished castiron posts in Northfied ward (represented by Phil) and once I`d seen how good, almost severe, the screening of light is to the upstairs rooms I was very relieved - hence my suggestion to visit. In case anyone is wondering about grey and white castiron columns they will be smartly painted in green and cream and receive swan necks with teardrop lanterns as in Green Avenue or Lyncroft Gardens - some may be temporarily capped as in Bernard Rd/Kingsdown Ave without the swan-necks to keep lighting up to scratch until the new fittings are delivered. |
