| I had a lampost replaced outside my bedroom window and it was significantly higher than the previous one. As well as the little shield inside the lamp, the council came and painted the back black as the light was still shining directly into my bedroom. It's now fine and the council dealt with it well once I'd found the right person to speak to. So if you do get a lamp, there are ways to reduce the light pollution. I have to admit our street is much brighter now and I'm pleased with the lamps, but at first, like you, I was quite unhappy. Good luck. |
