| There must be a deliberate reason behind the idea to expand the controlled hours of a parking zone, particularly if there is not a current issue in the zone. I, too, will be interested in knowing why. What we do know is that the vast majority of drivers will always consider parking before they choose to drive. For longer stays, it is often cheaper to go by public transport. This makes me wonder whether the thinking of this expansion fits into Ealing's overall strategy to reduce car use by 2030? (See front page story.) |
