I wrote to Citisense (the firm that "runs" this consultation") pointing out their errors. These have to be corrected before the consultation can proceed. No reply so far. Just as I expected. The greatest problem lies in the long hours that are proposed. This particularly affects the elderly as it reduces visitors and increases isolation. This a major cause of ill-health in the elderly. For those of us with cars it reduces our freedom to associate and who we can visit. Why? Because many of the elderly don't have a car and therefore don't know how to obtain paper tickets or book parking by phone. Limited hours allows them to be visited during the day outside hours without having to do any administration. Well done Labour. Let's beat up the elderly and put up more cycle hoops most left empty and cluttering the pavements. |
