| Phillipa, you seem to have totally lost the plot. Most people now have cars that are compliant with ULEZ. Those that aren’t might well be traded in before the extension to the North Circular comes in, unless people can’t afford to, in which case they get penalised, as you presumably think they should be. However, the bulk of TfL’s bus fleet will still be pumping out diesel fumes, while delivery vehicles - of which there are an excess - will also be contributing. Why would a Zero Emission Zone work in Ealing? Where would you put it? Ealing Broadway? How would the shops survive if you relied on everyone making their way on foot or by public transport? It’s not illegal to own or drive a car in the UK. Why do you seem to think it is? |
