Dominik, I said I tried hard to avoid putting the a/c on so it was implicit that if getting out the car and standing in the shade was an option I would have taken it. Unfortunately, you are coming across as a bit preachy and failing to recognise that life is full of nuance and the need to compromise.

It would be far more irresponsible to drive a vehicle if you are at risk of heat stroke or severe dehydration. Studies by researchers at the American Academy of Pediatrics and San Jose State University have shown that if the outside temperature is 33 degrees the internal temperature of a car can reach 40 degrees in 10 minutes and 54 degrees in half an hour. You could mitigate that a bit by cracking a window but not by very much.
