Did anyone ask normal people, rather than cycling obsessives, whether thry want all this infrastructure put in? No. Some of it is unnecessary and in places creates more danger than it solves. The new shared use pavement under construction on Windmill Road is a case in point. Narrowing the road on a blind bend, on a bus route, is ridiculous. There’s been no sign of a safety or risk assessment having been carried out beforehand. There’s only divisive people here are the cycling lobbyists, who scream and shout about how unfair things are. The Hanwell Village Idiot is the prime example. Hammersmith Bridge should be fully restored. It’s part of the transport infrastructure of London. Not a bike lane. Only an utter idiot would think otherwise. |
