| I certainly paid for my licence in terms of driving lessons subsequent roadcraft lessons with the Metropolitan Police (I wish that they still ran these) and training and examination with the Institute of Advance Motorists. While this may not make me a superior driver it certainly puts me at least three or four rungs above those who can jump on a cycle with zero training and then complain that they have difficulty encountering other vehicles so that they need protected lanes. |
