When I first saw the screenshot of the report my first instinct was to ask if it could be shared as I knew there’d be shouts of trespass. Then I realised the photo the person took to confirm the taking of the sample was in an area with no herras fencing around it. There’s one of these swamps already in play, open to dogs and children, at the Walpole end of the park. The ones behind the fencing connect to this one. I’d estimate about £1.5Mill has been spent on this joke. A huge expense when you consider that maybe spending just £10k a year maintaining the gullies, kerbs and stormwater drains in the area would’ve had a far more positive impact. Instead we’ve not only lost a valuable community park forever but also allowed it to become a swamp with possible health risks. Clown show! |
