Why exactly is Ealing such a popular place to live? Answer: (apart from transport links) Fantastic parks Comedy Festival Jazz Festival A real sense of community A real mix of cultures (that overall rub along well together) Great schools A choice of swimming pools/leisure/gym facilities Questors/Watermans theatre's (yes I know w/mans in hounslow borough - but easy to get to) The orange tree is hardly 'proper' theatre... If you can be bothered looking further than the town centre for eating/pubbing then there's loads of great pubs, entertainment/ eating houses. So less expensive and PRENTENTIOUS than Richmond/Fulham... It's a big borough, there's more to it than meets the eye. Maybe more appreciated if you are a parent. So many of my friends from the Richmond area wish they lived here! (even with Richmond park on their doorstep). It's not called nappy valley for nothing. Here's to Ealing. We love it. If you don't then it's prob best you do look elsewhere. Best to have people who really do like, appreciate it and are interested, live here. |
