I like Richmond very much too but the aircraft noise is pretty constant as opposed to intermittant which it is here in Ealing. No way could I afford to live there anyway. Fulham, well when my parents grew up there, was pretty rough and very working class. As a result, I still see it like that and it gives me the creeps. Nowadays its inhabitants are cut from a very different cloth and are not people I would choose to mix with. I think Ealing offers far more balance in the types of people who live here. Also, Fulham is so built up and enclosed with no space to breathe. If I had real money, I'd go for Chelsea..much more interesting and varied than the home counties types who live in Fulham. Ealing has changed from the place I grew up in in the 60s and 70s and some of the change has been good. |
