| Do prospective HMO tenants prefer to reside in a Kremlin-style stack of boxes or a room in a house with potential garden? Also, with the implementation of article 4 in the borough limiting the smaller landlord whilst allowing soulless corporate landlords who are not flexible for those tenants who may not fulfil tickbox requirements. The council has suddenly woken up to enforcing HMOs which they should have done the minute they launched HMO and selective licensing but no, they see landlords as cash cows. Who pays in the end? The tenant. Be careful what you wish for. |
