I've heard better definitions of what a pH meter measures. So if one is taken ill, say in public, and is treated by a passing medical practitioner as a humane act, then that practitioner is merely an amateur at that time? Professional qualifications indicate a minimum standard of knowledge and skill of a subject together with an ethical code. Paid workers are exactly that - paid, being unionized doesn't make them professionals either. And I doubt that many hospital cleaners know what the word hygiene (in any language) means. |
