I'm afraid my experience of Polish builders is not very positive mainly via feedback from my neighbour. The property next to hers was bought and rennovated by a Pole who did a very shoddy job (to be fair I really don't think he passes himself off as a builder) He then proceeded to cram as many (Polish) tenants in his property who caused untold amounts of noise which did also affect me (drinking outside the property, loud garden BBQs late into the night) The tenants are out, the scaffolding is up and he has written to me asking to come into my house to look at my loft conversion to see how it is configured as he will be completing the same job! Whatever happended to well drawn out designs as part of this process?? Luckily another neighobur is an Architecht and has informed both neighbours either side of the property that he cannot carry out any work until certain permission is sought as any work he undertakes affects both party walls. I too cannot say I have anything against Poles per se but this example really is not a very positive one. |
