| Viktor I have been talking to a number of young Poles and asked if they had registered to vote in the Council elections. The reply was, "No!" but aren't Poles and other EU citizens elegible to vote after staying here a certain time? If I am right then shouldn't some effort in a selection of languages in "Around Ealing" be made to get EU citizens on the electoral register ready for the next elections in May 2014? If I were working and living in a foreign land I would feel some comfort that my democratic rights were recognised in part as a result of this awful tragedy. |
