My assessment is strictly based on a non-biased analysis of all the three main candidates, I have traditionally voted for Labour, but have had serious doubts about their policies and local selection, were I thought Ms Sonika would have been a more prudent choice, the Conservatives have decided upon someone who has no suitable merit, credentials or experience in the rough and tumble world of national politics, I would also seriously question his motivation, intention and dedication to such a post. Nigel came second in the 2005 election, he is definitely a level-headed gentleman who I saw talking and engaging with common people like myself, in Ealing Broadway this weekend gone, with no pomp or fan-fair. I am sure he will be more accessible and sympathetic to our needs in Ealing Southall, than his two contemporaries. Concerning the issue of the Lib Dems not ever being elected with a majority in government, I personally think that is irrelevant, as one MP can not change the tide of political opinion, but he can definitely voice the concerns and try to fulfil the aspirations and demands of his constituents, again something I feel Nigel will best deliver on. I must admit that I am swayed by his uncompromising views on the illegal Iraq war, the subsequent 850,000 deaths of sometimes de-humanised men, women and children, and daily financial cost to the exchequer of £2.4 million, which would probably be enough to fund all major policy issues, such as health, crime, education and local business which the Labour and Conservative partners in this crime keep ranting on about. |
