What do we think Ward Forums are for? They should be for residents to raise concerns and ask questions. Residents should be encouraged to supply agenda items and decide on priorities , time allocated and the running order of topics. Sounds a bit like 'The Big Society' doesn't it? They should also be the forums for discussing the future of the Wards. Each trio of Councillors in each Ward should be experts in describing, explaining, discussing and consulting on the Local Development Framework as it applies to their Ward. The Ward Forums should not be opportunuties for residents to be lectured to by Councillors, Parks management, or the Police. The Forums should also not go over old ground that was excessively trampled on in previous Forums.
