| If all jobs were advdertised at the Job Centre then it would make things a lot easier for those who are seeking employment. Too many friends of mine have applied to an agency in answer to a job advertisement only to have their application / CV disappear into the ether never to be seen again. Very disheartening and soul destroying for those looking for employment. Many of these agencies never respond to applicants and as has been said on this thread these agencies just advertise bogus positions to collect CV's. A central place where all jobs are advertised is a good idea - perhaps a paper where all the jobs for a local area could also be published with all adverts having a phone and email contact. This would cut out the commission fee that agencies now charge employers for bringing an applicant to their attention. |
