Tony, I found these packs of 3 coloured plastic balls which said on the packet that they help prolong the life of fresh vegetables when placed in the vegetable compartment in the fridge.

I put 1 in the vegetable compartment and, yes, it does seem to help keep the vegetables fresher for longer. Not sure whether they expected one to use all three at once, nor does it say how long they are supposed to last for!

I guess it's just trial and error - anyway one can't go wrong with spending £1 on the item. They also sell USB adaptors and so on - compare the price with other electrical shops and you will see what I mean!

It is a very clever concept selling everything for just £1 because the shopper thinks to himself, 'Well it's only £1 so I might as well buy it' but it all mounts up if the shopper keeps putting more items into his shopping trolley, still is the same items were purchased elsewhere can you imagine what the bill would be?

As you mentioned Tony, just think of the profit some other shops must be making on certain items if the same thing, in identical packagng can be as little as £1.
