| Actually Tony, you would be surprised! In the past I have found an item for 99p but the identical item is on sale in Poundstretchers for £9.99 believe it or not. This was the 'egg' pedicure gadget. Also they sold little plastic ball shapes which help keep vegetables fresh for longer in the fridge - 99p and in other shops at around £4.99 and above. OK some items are not brilliant but we did get a camera case for £1 for a friend recently - he's very pleased with it. They sell cases for I-Pods at £1 but in Currys they are about £15 - the same item. How they do it I have no idea, perhaps it is bankrupt stock. It is a good idea to check out the £1 shop before going out and spending a lot of money...especially for someone on a tight budget. |
