| Divided and ruled so the Council will do its bidding in the face of such diverse opinion. Though I have nothing to do with the development of arts in LBE I would have liked to see the 6 million going towards strenghening permanent arts cultural facilities in the borough. Alternatively why not pay off more of the Boroughs' bank debts, so that when inflation returns in say 2 years, the interest repayable on loans will be less. We would all benefit instead of being served up with a cheap ONCE OFF and cynical bribe. So I fully oppose the £50 payment - even though it would be useful for me. I imagine that that household in Acton which so strenuously exercised minds may get 50 quid as well. |
