| Brentford has lost it's stop and shop parking and most of it's nearby parking is expensive and ferociously policed. It has killed the local daily footfall dead and impacted on commerce of all sorts badly. It can take 40 mins to park just to deliver or collect items, not to mention the petty crime and risks if moving more than one item to or from a retailer or artisan. It was never like this although they tried it once before but the impact then was enough to get a councillor or two to sort it and it was. But now. with councillors avoiding any interaction with residents and businesses and besotted with issues they should be made to leave well alone, nothing gets sorted. Policy and policy and politics. But all right Jack for the cronies and their poodles. |
