| Anna Zivarts is an eminently sensible cycling campaigner who uses the The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) to campaign for equality in transport. She has no truck with the entitled road user. There may be much wrong with the USA but the ADA makes UK legislation look frankly pathetic. Given the litigious nature of the USA any local authority like Ealing that abjectly fails to make equal and adequate provision for disabled travellers would never find themselves out of court. The ADA took decades to agree and implement TWO DECADES before the UK implemented the poor legislation that is the DDA and it is firmly enshrined and entrenched in Federal law. This is why Anna Ziverts can rely of the force of law to support her campaigning. |
