So…. Paraphrasing…. Ealing was and is a collection of 20 minutes neighbourhoods Okay Great And therefore the need to basically reintroduce hated LTN’s, close streets, tax people who want to go about their business on four wheels rather than two due to practicalities, mobility issues, safety etc…. It just isn’t there!!! Leave things as they are or maybe :- Actually improve footfall with free parking, spruce the place up, fund more PCSO’s, encourage pop ups with ultra low rents, invest in the nighttime economy, repair the pavements, improve traffic flow…. Instead we all know how the corridor of power is populated by people with skewed and selfish agendas that fly in the face of popular opinion. It’s frustrating that this is going to happen no matter how loud the sensible shouts against it are. All we can hope is that those who made these decisions will loose their positions once they prove to be a disaster. Unfortunately I think by then it’ll be economically difficult to revert back to how things were Sad really |
