| The problem everywhere is a lack of water at times. It is an essential that we take far too much for granted. Unless we are far more careful and considerate we'll have problems sooner rather than later here. Just look at the problems that South Africa had with their recent longstanding drought. I remember a year in the UK when we had standpipes in the street - just as we had before we had water plumbed into every house - which I was alive for but don't remember. That article is just one of many news items on the heatwave in Canada and the US where temperatures are the highest ever recorded. We are expected to get more of these 'weather events'. Was that in one of the newspapers owned by one of the handful of billionaire climate change deniers who own most of them? |
