| Glad you've remembered some geography but don't monsoons come with wind as well as rain? Yes when the weather is hotter we are more likely to get sudden heavier downfalls of rain. Gutters are often not big enough now and are also filled with moss which is washed off roofs and blocks drains. Disappointing that you seem to be denying the existence of climate change. Perhaps you should also be considering the number of homes with impervious patios and completely paved front gardens with nowhere for the water to soak into. Who do you choose to blame for that? Yes, there is all the rubbish dropped and flushed and poured down drains especially the fat and wet wipes that mix and stick together to make a cold solid mass the size often of jumbo jets that takes days to remove from the sewers. All those wonderfully clear Thames Water warnings on their vans that it is so inconvenient for people to read and admit the truth of. Maybe you should also take a look at SuDS. |
